Ride to Remember Stacey Lee Floyd
April 20, 2013
Manchester Recreation Center
Manchester, TN 37355

On April 20, 2013, bicyclists of all ages and abilities participated in a memorial ride to remember and honor Stacey's life. The ride began at the Manchester Recreation Center at 8 am. A pre-ride pancake breakfast was available from 6 to 8 am. Two routes were available, a 15 mile intermediate, and a 60 mile advanced ride. All proceeds benefited the Teen Council of the Manchester Recreation Center.

Stacey Floyd was a father of 4 children, a loving husband, and an avid cyclist. He was killed instantly when he was hit from behind while riding bicycles with his family on a rural road in Coffee County on April 11, 2012. The driver of the automobile, Ms. Sheryl Marsee was never charged with violation of the statutes that protect bicyclists on Tennessee roadways (TCA 55-8-175, TCA 55-8-136). The incident was never formally acknowledged by TN District Attorney Mickey Layne, 14th Judicial District, Manchester TN.

As supporters of the Tennessee "Share the Road" license plate initiative and The Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation we would like to encourage everyone to register and participate in this important event and help the Floyd family bring a sense of closure to their tragic loss.
